BUILDING EXCELLENCE

The adaptation of this 150-year-old dilapidated workers’ terrace demonstrates a sensitive response to a highly constrained inner-city site. Conceived as a place of contemplation, the house provides a retreat for local and international artists.  Contemporary design is creatively merged with traditional conventions to ensure the house’s viability into the future.
